April 2016 Update from If Everyone Cares
Hello there! Here at If Everyone Cares, we've had a busy few months:
In February we launched Ododow, The Interactive Community Map and we've already got over 100 projects pin-pointed.
In March two interns, Rachel and Anna, joined the team. This month we've been nominated for a Digital Leaders award and have been asked to join an exciting funding campaign (see more below)! We're also nearly ready to launch The Community Pledge, our online membership platform helping businesses to connect with their communities.
Additionally, we recently received a lovely thank you note which is a wonderful reminder of why we're working so hard to make Ododow a reality. A gentleman who suffers from tinnitus got in contact to say that, thanks to Ododow™, he had been able to find a mindfulness group (which he is now attending) to help him to manage his condition.
We know that what we're doing has the potential to make such a positive impact for individuals and communities across the UK. Please help us to spread the word - follow us on twitter and facebook, add your project to Ododow and get in touch about what you've been up to!
The Team at If Everyone Cares
We're proud to announce that If Everyone Cares has been included in this year's Digital Leaders 100 Awards shortlist! The Awards recognise achievements in the digital world from the past year, celebrating projects and people within digital transformation. We're honoured to have been nominated in the charities category. The next stage of the Awards is decided by the public: to view the other nominees and to cast your vote, click here.
If Everyone Cares is participating in this year's Virgin Media Business competition, VOOM. We've been asked to submit our pitch this year as we were voted 3rd by the public in 2012's competition and also reached last year's shortlist. You can see how we're doing here. Have a look at our shiny new video and, if you like, give us a vote!

|Spotlight on...2nd Chance Group|
"Using sport to inspire change"
2nd Chance Group CIC was the very first project to join us on Ododow™! With offices in Bristol and Truro, 2nd Chance Group uses sport to help people who have been involved with the criminal justice system. Their Coachmakers programme provides an average of 5000 hours of volunteering every year, as well as supporting young people to access employment in the sport and active leisure sector. Follow their latest work on twitter @2ndChanceCIC or head to 2ndchancegroup.org to find out more.
Updates and Glitch Fixes
We've got a new feature coming to Ododow™ - users will soon be able to search for projects by category. You can now login to your profile and select the categories that are relevant to you (eg disability, animals, unemployment, arts). Once the next update goes live, your project will automatically be listed under those categories
Featured profile...Penny Brohn UK
"Living well with cancer"
Penny Brohn UK's page is an excellent example of how to get the most out of your Ododow™ profile, head over to the map to have a look! We especially like how they're using their gallery to share quotes from people who have benefited from using their services.
Don't forget to add social media links to your Ododow profile so that we can share the great work that you're doing!
The Community Pledge™ - now open to small businesses!
The Community Pledge™ will soon be live for companies of any size. However, if you are a small business (ie have fewer than 9 employees), you can become a founding member of The Community Pledge today! For more details of how your business can support us through our VOOM-linked Crowdfunder campaign (and benefit from 6 months membership free!), please click here
Meet one of the founding members of The Community Pledge! Winbox are an email marketing company based in Bristol. As well as helping businesses to connect with their clients, the Winbox team also do an annual sponsored bike ride in aid of the South West Children's Hospice. This year they'll be cycling from Bristol to Brussels! To find out more, have a look at this interview that Marc from Winbox did with or founder, Jaki.
